Bear Creek Golf Club is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located adjacent to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Dallas, Texas. The facility has two Ted Robinson designed 18-hole golf courses. They are The East Course at Bear Creek and The West Course at near Creek.
The East Course first opened for play in 1980. The course was designed by Ted Robinson.
The East Course tends to be more open, but there are some tree-lined fairways on both courses. The greens usually have good speed. Many of the tees and greens are elevated. The East Course has six holes with elevated greens and the West Course has nine elevated greens.
A good strategy is key on the East Course. The signature hole is the beautiful #5, a beautiful 520 yard par-5.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,670 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,620 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 528 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 416-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The East Golf Course is # 17, a 175 yard par-3.

Played the East Course using Avid Golfer coupon - $25.xx / great deal. Have played this course before. Few tee boxes were 'exposed' ......fairways & sand traps very very good....greens: excellent! Played in less than 4 hours. Very courteous staff - from clubhouse to cart girl. Highly recommend the golf course!

I have played Bear Creek for years. They are getting a ton of traffic now due to their player program and low prices. The course is packed and the greens could have used a little water. I still love the course and will just be a little more careful choosing a tee time next go around.

Played this course for the first time, and got a good deal on green fees on-line. Overall it was a fun course with very challenging holes that were interesting. Lots of blind shots and doglegs. The planes flying overhead are noisy at first, but I suppose you get used to them. I would play this course again (and hopefully shoot better).

Always a lot of rounds played on this course. So expect some delays during prime hours. However, maintence has done a nice job of maintaining facility and playability. Bunkers are inconsistent, but that's due to the roller coaster North Texas weather in the spring. Usually become more consistent during the summer and fall.

A group of us travel to Dallas every April. The last course we normally play on Sunday morning is Bear Creek. It is easy to get to and you can move quickly through the round. The car rental return is just a few minutes away so you can be at the airport in no time.

Great course, bunkers need work. better yardage markings might speed up play. Course of this calibre deserves a better clubhouse and better food/beverage service in the clubhouse. Being next to the airport is not much a stigma as you might think. You also might be lucky to spot one of the scruffy coyotes that live around the course.

Have played Bear Creek over 20 years; it's had its ups and downs. It is in good shape and well worth the price.
